Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a binding agreement between Olivier Bellity — Lebanim, Israeli sole trader (עוסק פטור, registration no. 341111854), 64 rehov Hapisga, 9638227 Jerusalem, Israel ("we", "our", "us") and any person who accesses or uses the Lebanim service ("you", "user").
Nothing in these Terms derogates from mandatory provisions of applicable law. Where a conflict exists, the provisions of law prevail.
1. Acceptance
By accessing or using the Service, you confirm you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
Lebanim (lebanim.com) is an online biographical memoir service helping users document their life story in French with Hebrew translation, producing a bilingual book (French/Hebrew). The Service includes a structured biographical questionnaire (20 chapters), an AI assistant (powered by Anthropic), photo management, family tree, and PDF/book generation.
3. Eligibility
To use the Service: minimum age 15. Users under 16 in the EU require parental consent.
To purchase: minimum age 18, legally capable of entering binding contracts.
4. Account
You agree to provide accurate and complete information at registration and keep it current. You are solely responsible for the confidentiality of your credentials.
5. Paid Plans and Payment
Plans and prices are presented on the Pricing page and accepted before payment.
Payments processed by Allpay.
As an Israeli sole trader (עוסק פטור), our prices are exempt from VAT.
Unless otherwise stated, a paid plan gives access for 12 months from payment date.
6. Cancellation and Refund Policy
6.1 Israeli Consumer Protection Law (applies to all users)
Governed by the Israeli Consumer Protection Law, 5741-1981.
You may cancel within 14 days from purchase or receipt of transaction details by sending written notice to contact@lebanim.com including your full name, ID number, and transaction details.
This period extends to 4 months for persons with a disability, senior citizens, or new immigrants (עולים חדשים), provided this status was disclosed during or after the transaction.
A cancellation fee of up to 5% of the transaction value or 100 NIS (whichever is lower) may apply.
These provisions apply to all users. Users residing in the European Union also benefit from EU consumer protection law, including the 14-day right of withdrawal under Directive 2011/83/EU.
6.2 Limitations
The right of cancellation does not apply where the user has fully exported the digital content (PDF download or data export).
Where a physical book has been ordered or sent to print, the refund will be limited to the plan amount less the printing cost incurred.
6.3 Lebanim 30-day money-back guarantee
Independently of the above legal rights, Lebanim offers a 30-day money-back guarantee with no cancellation fee, provided no physical book has been ordered or sent to print.

7. User Content
You retain full ownership of your content (texts, photographs, testimonies).
You grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence strictly limited to operating the Service (storage, AI processing, PDF generation). This licence ends upon deletion of your content or account.
You warrant you hold all necessary rights over content you publish.
You agree not to publish content that is unlawful, defamatory, hateful, or infringing third-party rights.
8. Artificial Intelligence
The Service integrates AI features provided by Anthropic (United States).
- Your content is transmitted to Anthropic for processing
- AI suggestions may contain inaccuracies
- You remain solely responsible for final validated content
- The AI does not replace a human biographer
9. Service Availability
We endeavour to provide continuous access but do not guarantee it. Interruptions for maintenance or force majeure do not give rise to compensation.
10. Account Termination and Data Retention
We may suspend or terminate access in case of breach of these Terms.
Upon termination: 30-day read-only access to your saved responses, with PDF download available. After 30 days: permanent and irreversible deletion.
Immediate deletion available on request at any time.
11. Limitation of Liability
The Service is provided "as is". We are not liable for:
- Content loss due to browser failure or manual deletion of local storage
- Temporary service interruptions
- Third-party provider failures (hosting, AI)
- Indirect damages from use of the Service
12. Intellectual Property
All Lebanim elements (texts, visuals, code, questionnaire, editorial content) are protected by Israeli, French, and international intellectual property law.
"Lebanim", the logo and all associated distinctive signs are our exclusive property.
13. Modifications
We may modify these Terms at any time. Substantial changes communicated by notice on the Service or by email. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
14. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by Israeli law.
EU users: mandatory provisions of applicable local consumer protection and data protection law remain fully applicable.
Disputes: exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Jerusalem (Israel), subject to mandatory consumer protection rules in the user's country of residence.
